Beyond the Mask

I've been getting emails recently from many of you asking about the third book in the trilogy, Beyond the Mask, due to come out in the United States. The word from Amulet Books is that the book is to come out in 2010, spring. I can hardly wait. The cover is stunning.

On another note, I will be at NCTE in Philadelphia at the end of this week. I have stickers and postcards of the third cover which I will gladly hand out to those who are there.

    I am a Children's Librarian in Provo, Utah. I recently discovered your Grassland books and was immediately engrossed in them. I was very disappointed that we couldn't find the third volume. Thankfully your blog just provided the answer I was looking for, now I just have to wait a few months to read the conclusion! Now I can also have my library order your book Archipelago, it sounds fascinating! I am very glad I found your website. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

    Thanks so much for your comment! It has been frustrating waiting for book three to come out in the US. The good news is that Amulet has done a stunner of a job on the cover and my editor, knows her work well, so I am in good hands. Book three is available in Canada through Amazon.ca with a different cover.
    I enjoyed writing Archipelago so much. My wife and I went on a ten day kayaking trip through the Queen Charlottes (now Haida Gwaii or Gwaii Hanaas) and the memories remain strong and clear of that mysterious, beautiful, visceral place.
